INGREDIENTS:
Urad dhal – 200g
Bengal gram – 200g
Red chilly – 100g
Coriander seeds – 2 tsp
Curry leaves – 2 leaflet
Asafotedia – 1 tsp
Salt
Oil – 1 ½ tsp
METHOD:
1.
Take a pan and add ½ tsp oil and roast the
urad dhal until golden brown and keep aside.
2.
Add ½ tsp oil and roast the bengal gram until
golden brown and switch of the flame and add asafotedia and mix well.
3.
Add ½ tsp of oil and roast the red chillies, coriander seeds and curry leaves.
4.
Allow to cool.
5.
Take a mixer and add the above contents and
salt and grind little coarsely.
6.
Now idli podi is ready.
7.
Podi idlies and podi dosas can be made using
the above powder by mixing with gingelly oil.
